1. Acceptance of Terms

Rivfun Stories is operated by Maksim Prokhorov, an individual based in Finland ("we", "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our account and story services through the Rivfun Stories app ("App"). By using these services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the services.

The App is licensed under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement ("Standard EULA"). These Terms supplement that agreement and do not replace it. If there is a conflict concerning the App license, the Standard EULA takes priority. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights.

2. Eligibility

Rivfun Stories is intended for adults and teenagers. Some stories contain mature or frightening themes. Follow the age restrictions shown for the App in your App Store; its current content rating is 16+. Read the story information before listening.

Account registration currently asks you to confirm that you are at least 13. This is a self-declaration, not verification of your age, and does not lower the App Store content rating or replace applicable age and parental-consent requirements. If you cannot legally agree to these Terms yourself, a parent or legal guardian must agree on your behalf where local law permits your use.

3. Description of Service

Rivfun Stories provides immersive audio fiction inspired by Norse, Japanese and Korean myth and folklore. The current catalogue is in English.

Free access is shown in the App. An account and an internet connection are required. The catalogue may change; these Terms do not promise a particular number of stories, release schedule or offline listening.

4. Account Registration

Provide accurate information when creating or using your account. Keep your credentials private and take reasonable steps to protect access to your account. Notify us at info@rivfun.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

Our Privacy Policy explains how account, listening, purchase and support information is handled.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

The App is free to download. Premium is available through monthly or annual auto-renewing subscriptions processed by the Apple App Store. The available plan, billing period and price in your local currency are displayed before you confirm a purchase. The price shown in that purchase flow applies; these Terms do not promise a fixed price or discount.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through your Apple account settings in accordance with the purchase terms shown by Apple. Manage or cancel your subscription in Apple’s subscription settings. You can restore eligible purchases in the App.

Deleting the App or your Rivfun Stories account does not cancel an Apple subscription. For App Store refund requests, use Apple’s refund-request service. Eligibility and any cancellation or refund rights are subject to applicable law and Apple’s purchase terms. Nothing here excludes a refund or other remedy required by law.

6. Content License

Stories, audio, artwork and other App content are owned by us or used with permission. Subject to the Standard EULA and your available account access, you may use the App and its content for personal, non-commercial listening.

8. Suspension, Account Closure and Deletion

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address a serious or repeated breach of these Terms, a security threat or a legal requirement. We will give notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue where appropriate, unless urgent action or law prevents this. You can contact us to question a restriction. Mandatory rights concerning paid services remain unaffected.

You can request deletion under You → Settings → Delete account or by contacting us. Once accepted, the primary account and its listening history are removed. Associated cleanup requests to service providers may continue in the background and are retried if they fail. The Privacy Policy explains the handling of older Apple sign-ins, retained records and deletion status.

Account closure ends access through that account. It does not cancel an App Store subscription; manage the subscription separately in your Apple account. If you intend to continue using a paid subscription with another account, contact support for help with access rather than assuming account data can be recovered.

9. Service Availability

We aim to provide a working service, but temporary interruptions, errors or changes may occur. Access also depends on your device, connection and relevant Apple services. This statement does not remove any statutory guarantee or remedy concerning digital content or services.

10. Liability and Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or removes your mandatory consumer protections. Your rights and remedies for the App license remain subject to the Standard EULA and applicable law.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the service or applicable requirements. The effective date identifies the current version. For material changes affecting your use or a paid service, we will provide notice and obtain agreement where required by law. Updates do not remove rights that have already arisen under mandatory law.

12. Governing Law

These service Terms are governed by Finnish law. This choice does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections or rights to bring a claim in courts available to you under applicable law, including protections in your country of habitual residence. The Standard EULA retains its own applicable-law provisions for matters it governs.
